About Me

A native of Los Angeles, Yvonne now calls the Hudson Valley of New York home. After attending art school, she put her art aside for her other love: theatre. She began her professional acting career with the North American Tour of Miss Saigon, understudying the demanding role of “Kim.” Yvonne continued to work steadily in regional theaters across the country and toured with the North American Tour of The 25th Annual Spelling Bee as “Marcy Park.” When she isn’t treading the boards or making art, Yvonne is busy raising her daughters with husband Jeremy.

Miss Saigon

“Same, as the title character, is nothing less than brilliant.  She literally gleams onstage and her voice is strong and vibrant.”

-The Daily Gazette

The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee – Nat’l Tour

“Yvonne Same played the overachieving Marcy Park, who has a breakdown mid-show. Same was the only actor who actually looked like a child. A very talented individual, she got a chance to showcase in “I Speak Six Languages” where she twirled batons, karate chopped tables and played the piano, all while singing and dancing. I was impressed.”

The Mikado

“Yvonne Same is a delightful and beautiful Yum-Yum, full of knowing innocence and with a sparkling singing voice.”

An Infinite Ache

An Infinite Ache

“Interplayers Professional Resident Theatre’s earnest production features deep sadness, wit and two very fine performances by Todd Kehne, as Charles, and Yvonne Same, as Hope.”

– Sandra Hosking, The Spokesman-Review

The Song of Mulan

The Song of Mulan

“The production’s strengths include excellent singing by Yvonne Samé as Mulan.”

Susan Haubenstock, The Richmond Times-Dispatch

“Yvonne Same’s Medea is a complex creature eloquently expressing her rage and appropriately conflicted by the dark ramifications of her murderous thoughts.”

Chris Davis, The Memphis Flyer
